Congratulations on completing the academic requirements to pursue your counseling career; welcome to the profession!
Supervision is one of my absolute favorite things to do. It would be my pleasure to navigate the next part of your journey with you as your clinical supervisor.
I am a graduate of the University of Houston-Victoria with a master of education degree in community counseling. Over the past decade, I have gained experience working with men, women, children, and adolescents in various community settings such as residential treatments, outpatient clinics, non profit agency, and private practice with a variety of diagnoses such as major depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. My preferred models of therapy used are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. I am also certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy, a treatment specific for post-traumatic stress disorder.
What to Expect
4 hours of virtual supervision monthly
2 hours of group supervision and 2 hours in a triad
*one on one scheduled as needed
Education & Encouragement
We will learn new things together (never stop learning)! I will help you identify and navigate any fears and push you towards success while cheering you on.
Laughter & Lifetime connections
One thing for sure, we laugh in supervision! Supervision is the best time to be yourself after taking yourself so seriously with clients. You will also make lifetime connections with other clinicians you meet on the journey.
We talked about real life things and cases versus textbook material. It was laid back yet formal and professional which made everyone comfortable to talk and share.
I am so glad I didn't choose anyone else to be my supervisor.
You were good to us! I'm referring anyone who wants to be an LPC.
